Not really sure what life will be like after college? Well take notes!1. Networking is KEY! Yes it’s what you know but it’s really WHO you know. And that doesn’t mean rely on a friend or parent to “look out”.
2. Volunteering helps build your network. It also strengthens/adds value your resume.
3. As you volunteer and network you want to remember to sell your brand. YOU are your brand! Not sure what your brand is? Conduct a SWOT analysis, find out what works and what doesn’t work. And don’t be afraid of hearing “No” or “Unfortunately at this time” (the cute way of saying no).
4. People can smell a fraud. Don’t be fraudulent, be REAL. Trust me!
5. Quick money ain’t always good money honey! The money will come when it’s time! Don’t just take a job because it “pays more” take it because it will be beneficial to you. Trust the journey! Trust the process!
